Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Casa One (the "Service"), operated by [Company Legal Name] ("Casa One", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
2. The Service is free — no fees, no brokerage
Casa One does not charge property owners, tenants or maintainers any subscription fee, listing fee, or commission/brokerage on rent or on any transaction facilitated through the platform. We do not currently offer any paid plan. If this ever changes in the future, we will update these Terms and give existing users clear advance notice before any charge applies to their account.
3. Who can use Casa One
The Service supports three roles: property owners, who manage properties, units, tenants and finances; tenants, who are invited by an owner (or self-register) to manage their own tenancy; and maintainers, who are independent service providers who apply to join the maintenance network. You must be legally capable of entering a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account in any role.
4. Accounts, sign-in and security
You can create an account with an email and password, or sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. We offer optional two-factor authentication (2FA) and strongly recommend enabling it. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Property owner responsibilities
As an owner, you're solely responsible for the accuracy of the property, unit, tenant and billing information you enter, for complying with all applicable rental, tenancy, tax and consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction, and for the terms of the lease agreements you enter into with your tenants. Casa One provides tools to help you manage these relationships — it is not a party to your lease agreements and does not act as a broker, letting agent, or landlord on your behalf.
6. Tenant responsibilities
As a tenant, you're responsible for the accuracy of the information and documents you provide, and for meeting the rent-payment and other obligations agreed with your property owner. Your lease/tenancy is an agreement between you and your property owner — Casa One is a technology platform that facilitates invoicing, payments and communication between you, and is not a party to that agreement.
7. Maintainers are independent contractors
Maintainers who join the network are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Casa One. Casa One does not employ, supervise, insure, or guarantee the work of any maintainer, and is not a party to any agreement between a maintainer and a property owner or tenant for repair or maintenance work. Any dispute about the quality, pricing, or completion of maintenance work is between the maintainer and the owner/tenant who requested it.
8. Payments
Rent and other payments made through Casa One are processed by third-party, licensed payment gateways (currently Razorpay and PhonePe). Casa One does not store your full card or bank account details — these are handled directly by our payment processors under their own terms and security standards. Manual payments (e.g. bank transfer, cash, cheque) recorded through the platform are claims submitted by a tenant for the property owner to review and approve — Casa One does not verify or guarantee these claims. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how payment disputes are handled.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to: provide false or misleading information; list or advertise a property you don't have the right to let; use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to circumvent account security, rate limits, or role-based access controls; or harass, defraud, or misrepresent yourself to another user of the Service.
10. Your content
You retain ownership of the information and documents you upload (property details, lease documents, identity documents, photos, etc.). By uploading content, you grant Casa One a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and the other users it's shared with (e.g. a tenant's documents being visible to their property owner).
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, is used fraudulently, or poses a security risk to the Service or other users. A maintainer's application may be rejected or their access revoked by an administrator at their discretion. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time — see our Privacy Policy for how account deletion works.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. Casa One is a technology platform connecting owners, tenants and maintainers — we are not liable for the condition of any property, the conduct of any user, the quality of any maintenance work, or any dispute arising between users of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Casa One's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount (if any) you paid to us in the preceding 12 months — which, given the Service is currently free, is nil.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Casa One harmless from any claim, loss, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any right of another person or entity.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll provide reasonable notice (such as an in-app notice or email) before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts at [City/State] shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service.
